iced framing is a framing technique that allows the viewer to experience what is around and behind them while observing an artwork. a print is permanently glued into place between two ice-like panes of glass and mirror with a highly transparent non-yellowing uv glue. referencing old frames consisting of multiple ridges, this frame has three: a wet looking line of glue and two sharp and beveled irregular edges that blend with the wall by reflecting the surrounding light.
